Hector was born in Michoacán, Mexico and is the youngest out of eight siblings. He moved to Houston in 1989 where he graduated from high school, attended Lone Star community College, and earned an associate of Applied Science degree in Paramedic Technology. He started his medical career as an Emergency Medical Technician for the city of Houston. He later began working in Dialysis and became a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician. He worked in Dialysis for over five years holding such positions as lead technician, access manager, lab supervisor, and preceptor for new hire employees. In January 2013 Hector joined Humble Vascular Access Center as an Administrative Assistant.
